For me, travel has always been about the stories you bring home, the connections you make, and the moments you remember for the rest of your life. After more than 35 years in the travel industry, that excitement still shapes every vacation my team and I create.
I’m Tammy Levent, founder of Elite Travel Management Group, an entrepreneur, author, and travel industry educator. I have built my career helping people experience the world while teaching travel advisors how to deliver exceptional service. My work and agency have earned recognition through the prestigious Magellan and Travvy Awards, but the relationships we build remain the most meaningful measure of our success.
My travels have taken me to six continents, across Europe, throughout the Caribbean and the United States, and to Australia, Indonesia, Central America and South America. Antarctica is still on my bucket list because, even after decades of exploring, another adventure is always calling. Today, living in Greece gives me an even closer connection to the European destinations so many of our clients dream of visiting.

Tammy Levent is the founder of Elite Travel, an award-winning national travel agency. She has been educating viewers with travel-related news and advice during her weekly segment Just Go Trav (NBC Daytime) for 3 years. Tammy is also the creator of T.A.S.K. (Travel Agent’s Success Kit™), a consulting business to help startups and/or struggling travel agencies successfully adapt to this new age of travel. Her non-profit It’s My Bag is an organization that donates suitcases, and more, to children in foster care. Tammy recently launched her latest business enterprise an invention of – the first frozen authentic Loukoumades for food service & markets.
The Travel Agent’s Agent
Tammy is a travel agent’s agent. She created Elite Travel during the collapse of the airlines, in the face of natural disasters, the recession, and the onslaught of online booking engines. This is why she knows better than most how to create a successful business in an adverse climate.
She understood that the travel industry was in need of help, and she forged ahead to restore dignity to the art of travel. She states, “To win our clients back, we need to change the way we think of travel agents and redefine the business”.
In 2013, she partnered with several top entrepreneurs, including Kevin Harrington from Shark Tank and As Seen on TV. The goal was to develop The Travel Agent’s Success Kit ™ or TASK, to help struggling travel agencies successfully adapt to traveling in today’s world.
Some of her Branded TASK products include TASK 24K, TASK Prep, TASK Live and her TASK Ambassador Program. She is the brains behind ensuring there is a program for everyone, no matter what their budget. Education is mandated by her for survival in the travel industry today. Her passion for travel has taken her all over the world and she loves to share her knowledge with others.

Tammy is a highly sought-after sales expert and business strategist. She has conducted dozens of workshops and seminars on how to motivate employees, increase sales, generate leads, and create strategic partnerships. Her vast knowledge is always shared at every event in the form of actionable takeaways.
As a private consultant, Tammy uses her personal Rolodex along with one-on-one coaching to help others create new businesses and new brands that can reach potential multimillionaire clientele within a 6-month time frame. Her goal is to teach you her proven ways to success!

The Beginnings of Her Entrepreneurial Spirit
Tammy is a business building genius. She started her career at the young age of 16 when she drove to New York and found a job working as a secretary for a wholesale appliance store. After 1 year of learning the business, she reached out to a shipping partner as she had an idea to combine the two businesses into one full-service company. That’s how she became a founding partner of 7 Islands Shipping at the young age of 17, which went on to become a top US company well-known for export shipping to the Mediterranean in the ’80s and ‘90s. This was just the first of many Strategic Partnerships Tammy went on to create, supporting her lifelong philosophy of successful entrepreneurship! To this day she evolves by building on her business relationships and partnerships.
Overcoming Life Struggles
Tammy Levent has faced more challenges than most people can imagine. After 7 Islands shipping was sold, she moved back to Florida and started a successful jewelry business. In 1994 two armed robbers stole more than 95% of the inventory, forcing the business to close. Tammy quickly took a job as a telemarketer selling timeshare packages and soon became the top salesperson in the company. One year later, she was training new employees on how to do sales calls.
Responding to a crisis is nothing new for Tammy Levent. Even before COVID, her life was a rollercoaster of unfortunate events that she somehow transformed into greatness. She’s rebounded from child abuse, depression, homelessness, and a massive fire that destroyed all she owned. An armed assault destroyed her marriage, leaving her with a brain-injured husband and mountains of debt and bankruptcy.
Tammy Levent is a survivor. She has battled cancer and survived a surgery-gone-wrong. She also lost her grandmother in a car crash that severely injured her children.
It was a nurse’s question that helped change the course of her future. When Tammy’s children were in the ICU, a nurse asked, “if it had nothing to do with money, what would you do?” Tammy replied, “I would travel the world”. With a family to feed, no assets, and a deficit of $180 thousand dollars, Tammy began to create strategic partnerships to build Elite Travel, her current travel management company.
Today, Elite Travel is one of the most successful travel management companies in North America. Tammy attributes her success not only to her resilience and determination but also to her intelligence and creativity.

Tammy’s Latest Venture – Re-Inventing a 2700 year old dessert!
Tammy Levent is a woman of many talents. She ran a flourishing travel enterprise for many years, but COVID hit and forced her to find a new way to make money. So she turned to her weekend side hustle – her food truck serving up delicious Greek donut holes. Tammy is the first person to create these as an authentic frozen option, and she’s seeing great success with them. She’s intelligent, creative, and determined; and we’re sure she’ll continue to thrive no matter what life throws at her.
Levent’s love for food started at a very young age. Her grandmother would often make her loukoumades, and he was instantly hooked. The idea to create freezable loukoumades came about in March 2020, when Levent was in quarantine during COVID. She knew that she had to find a way to freeze the “greek donuts” so that it would maintain their unique texture, and after months of trial and error, she succeeded.
Customers can choose from honey or cinnamon style loukoumades, with all-natural toppings including chocolate, powdered sugar, Nutella, caramel, white chocolate, churro jelly and more.
This shippable, preservable, fry-on-demand Greek snack became a national sensation thanks to this brilliant female inventor. What started out as a small Tampa-based food truck side hustle has become a thriving business with wholesale nationwide distribution to grocery stores, diners, restaurants, catering companies, wedding vendors, schools, and more. This business was also selected to be an official vendor at the NFL Super Bowl LV Experience Event.
