Day 1 – Arrival Chobe

On arrival at Kasane Airport guests will be met and transferred to the lodge. On arrival guests will complete check in formalities at the lodge.

Chobe Safari Lodge: On Botswana’s far northern border lies the Kwando, Linyanti and Chobe river system forming a series of lakes, islands and floodplains. This area forms the Chobe National Park, famous for its large buffalo and elephant herds, this is also home to Chobe Safari Lodge. In addition to a variety of predators, there is an abundance of wild game and bird life which decorate these beautiful waterways. The lodge have recently done renovations to the lodge and now boast a great new dining, swimming pool and bar area. The lodge offers luxury Accommodation, Camping Facilities, River Boat Cruises, Game Drives, Fishing Trips (not included in the rate), Conference Facilities and Beautiful Sunsets.

Day 2 – Chobe

Guests will enjoy a morning game drive in the park. Guests will enjoy breakfast/brunch back at the lodge.

With the meandering Chobe river on it border, the Chobe National Park has some of the finest game viewing in Africa and one of the biggest concentrations of elephants in Africa. It is also notable for huge herds of buffalo and zebras, lechwe, Chobe bushbuck and puku antelope can also be seen. Where there are buffalo, lions are never far away and there is a good chance of seeing large prides who laze around in the shade all day and only yawn themselves awake at dusk. Hyena and leopard also hunt at night while cheetahs are diurnal predators. Chobe is rich in bird life with the Pel’s Fishing own a favourite for bird watchers and the peculiar strangely beaked African skimmer another speciality. African fish eagles are common and their distinctive cry is as evocative of the African wilderness as the roar of the lion.

Day 3 – Chobe

Guests will enjoy breakfast at the lodge.

Value Add: Guests will enjoy a 2 hour Village Walk in Namibia.

For those interested in other cultures and traditions we offer a 2 hour guided trip to Impalila Island which is on the Eastern tip of Namibia bounded on the north by the Zambezi River and south by the Chobe River will give just that. Which make up many small villages. Impalila Island is only accessible by a boat transfer which departs from the Chobe Safari Lodge jetty. Prior to setting of clients have to clear at Kasane Immigration and then take a short 10 minute boat transfer to Impalila Island where we clear the Namibian Immigration on the Island. From the Namibian border is about a 20-25 minute walk to the village. One will find themselves closer to nature than you may ever have been. Impalili Island is Africa in the raw. With an experienced and knowledgeable guide, the walk will give clients an insight of plants and trees within the Island that have been used by the locals for medicinal purposes, and the way of life for the local people who generate their income by selling carvings and baskets, and you can also see a 2000 year old baobab tree.

Guests will depart on an afternoon game drive looking for the Big 5.

Day 4 – Chobe to Okavango Delta

Guests will enjoy breakfast at the lodge.

After completing check out formalities guests will be met and transferred to Kasane Airport.

On arrival at Kasane airport guests will be met and assisted to the light aircraft for the flight to Pom Pom Camp in the Okavango Delta (seat in charter flight)

Okavango Delta: The Okavango is an immense river that never meets the sea. Instead, its crystal clear waters spread across the Kalahari Desert, forming Africa’s largest wetland wonder. The Delta is an abundant oasis amid the vast plains and pans of the desert that covers most of Southern Africa. Its waterways are a mesh of meandering and intercepting channels, creating a haven for Africa’s most celebrated wildlife

On arrival guests will be transferred to the lodge and complete check in formalities.

Pom Pom Camp: The Camp is located on Pom Pom Island in a private concession situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta and on the head waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and offers superb Okavango scenery and a true Okavango wilderness experience.

Accommodation consists of nine luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style, all with full en-suite semi open ablution facilities. The tents are uniquely positioned under the shade of the surrounding trees with overlooking views of the Pom Pom lagoon.

Pom Pom is one of the camps in the Okavango Delta that is able to offer game drives within our private concession area. Morning and evening game drives in the company of our qualified guides will give you the opportunity to view all the big game and night life of this environment.

Mokoro Excursions: A Mokoro trip is a fantastic way to experience the wonders of the Okavango Delta. In the company of a professional poler with vast experience of the Delta, you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this unique habitat and learn about the waterways and wildlife.

Guests will enjoy lunch at the lodge.

Guests will depart on another afternoon game activity in the reserve.

Guests will enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Important Notes:

• All costings are based on a minimum of 2 passengers travelling, with a single supplement, should a costing be required for a single traveller, this will be on request only.
• Please note that clients should be made aware of luggage restrictions on Domestic Flights prior to departure.  Guests are restricted to 1 bag of 20 kgs only on several Domestic Carriers.  Should guests travel with 2 bags – the second bag will be charged for at R300.00 which will be for the client’s own account.
• Please be aware that coaches also do not have capacity for copious amounts of luggage, hence we would urge you to advise your clients to limit their luggage

Very important note for all potential visitors to South Africa:

• Please ensure that when booking a trip for yourself or clients that your/their passports all comply with immigration regulations.

• According to an international regulation, passports must have at least two blank pages in them when one enters a country, and it should also not have less than 6 months to go before expiry. South African immigration officials are very particular about enforcing this regulation and will not allow guests to enter the country should their passports be incorrect.
